Simply click START WRITING and the Action Network tool will send to your own state legislators and to Governor Inslee.
Transportation is the highest emitting sector and rail is the lowest emitting mode when well-developed and utilized. We call rail the 'low hanging fruit' of climate solutions. Encourage leaders in Washington State to accelerate the timelines for crucial improvements on the Cascades trains. These trains are already often sold out especially on weekends. We expect several millions more people in the region by 2050 and we need to prepare now to take the pressure off of our congested highways, provide mobility to the 25% of Washingtonians who don't drive, and to lower emissions from transportation. We need more frequency, more reliability, and shorter trip times on this corridor.
Your action matters since WA is winding up its legislative session soon (April 23) but we will continue to push for better rail going forward.
